The Suzuki GSX-S1000GT is a sport-touring motorcycle that masterfully blends the high-performance DNA of a sport bike with the comfort and practicality of a grand tourer. Powered by a 999cc inline-four engine, it provides strong, linear acceleration ideal for both exhilarating rides and long-distance cruising. The bike's design prioritizes rider comfort with an upright seating position and a wind-tunnel-developed fairing. It is also packed with modern technology, including a full-color TFT display, cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and a suite of electronic rider aids.
For touring in Japan, the GSX-S1000GT is a superb choice. Its agility and power are perfectly suited for navigating the country's diverse roads, from busy cityscapes to the scenic, winding mountain passes of the Japanese Alps or the coastal highways of Kyushu. The standard panniers provide ample luggage space for multiday trips, while the electronic features like cruise control enhance comfort and control on Japan’s well-maintained expressways. Foreign riders must have a valid motorcycle license and an International Driving Permit (IDP) to legally ride.
